CARAPACE

Grown from tension,
shaped by instinct
A softness choosing its own defense.

CARAPACE is a sculptural extension of the back, forming a protective perimeter around the body.
Its branching, creature-like limbs arc outward as if guarding something quiet and alive beneath the surface.
Both fierce and tender, the piece transforms the silhouette into a living boundary
An exoskeletal presence shaped by instinct rather than armor.

CUSTOM MULTI MATERIAL PRINTING AND FINISHING

This piece evolved through a series of structural and material experiments.
Beginning as digital sketches of branching geometries, it was refined through modeling, iteration, and the contours of the back.
Through testing and recomposing the pieces, the structure evolved into something sharper, more expressive, and more creature-like.
Finishing and hand-detailing gave the piece its metallic character, grounding the organic form in a sense of weight and presence.
