LACE

LACE mimics the cellular architectures found throughout nature, recontextualizing them onto
the human body. Its composition and density respond to the figure itself; concentrating
cellular clusters to conceal certain areas while allowing others to remain exposed.

The garment draws from the Voronoi principle, a pattern through which nature organizes
space by local interaction. Seen in giraffe skin, cracked earth, cooling lava, plant cells, and the
porous structure of bone, each region is defined not in isolation but through the pressures and
boundaries of its neighbors.

By channeling this balance of efficiency and resilience, whether; in bone, optimizing strength
with minimal material, or in plants negotiating territories.

LACE translates these spatial negotiations into a wearable form. It envelops the body as a
living ecosystem, its densities shifting in dialogue with the figure, creating a second skin that
merges organic and logical intent.
